New Moon Movie Cast Bios Dakota Fanning

Born on February 23, 1994, this young actress has already made a name for herself in Hollywood, and is now joining the Twilight cast in New Moon. Like most kids, she used to do her own acting around the house before she made her cinematic debut. Dakota went to a playhouse around her home, in which children could put on a show for their parents. The people in charge of the playhouse recognized natural talent in the rough, and advised her parents to take get her an agent. The Fanning family spent six weeks in Los Angeles, a long way from their home in Georgia. And there, Dakota obtained her first work; to star in a national Tide commercial. After, she got an agent, and her acting career took off. Since then she has been in countless movies like: I Am Sam, Sweet Home Alabama, Hansel and Gretel, The Cat in the Hat, Uptown Girls, Man on Fire, Hide and Seek, War of the Worlds, and Push. She will be portraying the role of the sinister Jane Volturi in the second Twilight movie, New Moon.
